A Korean Table Experience in the Heart of Seoul
Tucked away in the quiet streets of Bukchon, where traditional hanok rooftops stretch across the horizon, SURA Seoul offers more than just a cooking class. It’s a place where food becomes a story—one that you cook, plate, and share.

Not Just Cooking — A Complete Korean Table
At SURA, the experience goes beyond learning recipes. Instead of focusing on a single dish, you are guided through creating a full Korean table, known as Bapsang.
This approach reflects how Korean meals are truly enjoyed—balanced, seasonal, and meant to be shared.
During the class, you’ll prepare a selection of dishes including:
Handmade Korean dumplings (mandu)
Savory kimchi pancake (kimchi jeon)
A signature main dish (with options for vegetarian, pescatarian, or halal-friendly diets)
Seasonal side dishes and fresh kimchi
Each element comes together into a complete dining experience, just as it would in a Korean home.

Inspired by the Royal Table
The name SURA comes from Surasang, the royal table once served to kings in Korea, and Suragan, the royal kitchen where these meals were prepared.
This inspiration is reflected not only in the food, but in the way the experience is presented—thoughtful, elegant, and intentional.
Guests plate their dishes using traditional Korean brassware, known as Bangjja Yugi, which has been used for centuries in royal cuisine. It adds a sense of weight, warmth, and history to every meal.
A Hands-On Cultural Experience
The class is fully interactive and guided in English, making it accessible and welcoming for international travelers.
More than just cooking, you’ll learn:
The cultural meaning behind Korean meals
Why dishes are shared rather than served individually
The role of fermentation in Korean cuisine
Dining etiquette and traditions
It’s an experience designed not just to teach you how to cook, but to help you understand why Korean food is the way it is.

A Boutique Experience in Bukchon
With a small group setting (maximum 6 guests), every class feels personal and relaxed.
The studio overlooks the beautiful hanok village, creating a calm and inspiring atmosphere that contrasts with the busy energy of Seoul.
From the moment you arrive, you’re welcomed with tea, introduced to the space, and guided step-by-step through the experience.
Cook • Plate • Dine
What makes SURA truly special is the full journey:
You cook together. You plate with intention. And finally, you sit down to enjoy the meal you’ve created.
It’s not just about learning—it’s about experiencing Korea through its food.
